Part 1: Information Passport and Judgment of AI Outputs · Version 0.6.1 · Working Draft for public comment · 2026-10-13
Draft for comment. This version shall not be used to claim conformance.
AI models and agents now produce analyses, recommendations, code and decisions that are passed between systems and acted upon. ECS gives a common, verifiable way to answer four questions about any such output: where each claim came from and whether it was measured, estimated or inferred; what its producer declares unknown; if it was judged, by whom, against which criteria, on what evidence and with what result; and which of its claims count as knowledge, for what use and for how long.
The governing principle: nothing crosses between agents, neither a claim nor an action, without lineage.
Information travels with a passport, and becomes knowledge only when its passport proves its origin.
